A new half-day sesshin to start in London at the end of the next month, April 30, at the Caledonian road dojo.
Bellow you have some details on what’s going to happen in this short period of Zazen practice.
8:00 – 9:30 zazen + ceremony
9:30 – 10:00 breakfast – oryoki
10:00-10:45 coffee/tea and biscuits
11:00 – 12:00 talk/discussion
12:00 – 13:15 zazen
13:15 – tidy up samu
The day will consist of 2 periods of zazen, ceremony, a formal breakfast (bring a bowl!), and a talk or discussion period in the middle (topic to be decided).
It’s best if you have already done a zazen introduction before coming to this event as there will be no time for an introduction on the morning.
Please book your place early so we know how much rice to boil! Also, we have a limit of 14 due to eating space. If you book, but can’t make it, please let me know so we can give someone else your space
There will be Sewing practice in the afternoon from 2:30pm until 4:30pm after a short break for lunch – please contact lana in advance if you would like to sew this afternoon.
Sewing will stop for regularly scheduled Saturday Evening Zazen at 5:30pm (introductions at 5pm) – why not make a whole day of it?
Suggested donation: £10 – broke? please pay only what you can.
Bring: your oryoki (bowl/cloths) (or a bowl, spoon and a cloth to wrap them in)
